Pros
Table tennis set upstairs
Some nice people working there. However, a lot of people are applying for jobs elsewhere.
Nice canteen
Cons
Low pay - considerably below the market rate. Often use the line "we pay below the market rate because we are a young company/still growing". The company turned over $1 billion the last two years in a row.
No progression
Too political
Very segregated workforce and little interaction between people from other teams
Trend plan out products for the future, but no real plan for people progressing over time. Most people get lateral moves to plug a gap for the company
Overworked
Work will not be recognised unless you are a salesperson
Don't promote based on talent or potential, but often through friendship
Advice to Management
Treat people with the respect you treat your products with.
Start recognising talent and compensating them accordingly. Paying the market rate would be a start, but try to also recognise elite staff (not your friends/relatives)
Accept that you are a multinational company and stop putting out the false narrative that you are David versus Goliath
