Where the favorite employees thrive

-it's nice to have Trend Micro on your resume -very nice working environment, the office is really cozy. They have sleeping quarters, shower room. You can basically live here. -unlimited drinks! (coffee, iced tea, soda, chocolate drink) -housekeeping and security peeps are really nice. Security guards are so protective of the employees especially when on a summer outing, events, etc. And that is really awesome. And they know your name which is super cool. -HMO, 13th and 14th month pay -parties are really fun (summer outing, christmas party and other in-department events. These are all pre-covid era) -employees are young (i will put this item as well in cons). Since the employees are young, it is very easy to get along with your teammates as there is always something to laugh about. I've made a lot of friends here -company sponsored activities like Gawad Kalinga (I was able to join once and the experience was life-changing. Again, this was pre-covid era) -there are initiatives (in consumer departments) where you get to do something else aside from answering phone calls, email and chat
Cons
-Just like the headline, only the favorites thrive here. It doesn't matter if you have the skill or the knowledge. If you are not a favorite, SORRY. Only the favorites get to experience more opportunities that you can add to your skillset -employees are young (this item was also in pros) senior employees/engineers tend not to stay here because of... -toxic workload Very LOOOOOOOONG queue of customers waiting on line. And please don't get me wrong, i know that it is our job to cater to those customers but come on, maybe if you have the correct headcount just like the "forecast" from work force -the role "cloud security engineer" does not live up to it's name. Its basically a call center agent role. And I don't hate on that, its just that i think they should change it because it is very misleading (this actually resulted in a whole batch of new hires resigning. Yep you read that right, the whole batch, said good bye to the company and they haven't even finished the training period) -low salary package, 18K -low yearly salary increase. I heard from a friend of mind that he got a salary increase of 50 pesos per month. I thought he was kidding but he was dead serious. (i know its unprofessional to disclose salary increase information, but hey we're trying to be realistic here). And i think salary increase is also affected by the fact if you're a favorite or not.
