Former Employee - Clinical Nurse II in Orange, CA

I worked at St. Jude Medical Center full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good luck and work with flying colors Employees are very polite and has great work ethics: I was working there for 11 years the first half of the year was the happiest because the people are extremely nice polite respectful and since it’s a Catholic hospital devalue your concerns but the longer you stay there and you did not move up in your position you may technically might as well be worthless to them, I’m talking about the managers and the upper admin so if you’ve been there for 10 years and you haven’t move out from your position most of your colleagues have already been so it’s up to you if you could stay more on politics oriental workplace

    Cons

I worked at St. Jude Medical Center full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great family culture and wonderful executive leadership

    Cons

Providence is slowly ruining everything that had made St Jude so special. Rather than Providence leaders wanting to learn what St Jude does to make it so great they have come in and broken things apart.

I have been working at St. Jude Medical Center full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefit are pretty good. Good amount of PTO and an HMO insurance option with an option for low income to pay less or none at all.

    Cons

The pay is low with small increases, not alot of growth opportunities in my department. Since the merge with Providence there have been alot of lay of and "Leaning" of all departments which means everyone is short staffed. So we are over worked and underpayed as I always say.
