I have been working at Sasol full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Everyone in your team is usually great. Compensation is good (salary, med aid, shares scheme matching, pension). Good work life balance.

    Cons

Poor upper management causing Sasol problems. They don't even try to listen to their people and care more about looking good than actually being good. The heartbeat survey done every year by the employees tells them this every time, and yet they are shocked every time. Major culture of fear. The culture of the old boys club is prevalent and it's keeping Sasol back, causing young talent to flee the company in droves. Vacancy based organisation means you can only get promoted when someone leaves, so you're stuck at your, even though you're good at it.
