    I have been working at SCC full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Some of the staff and colleagues are great and try to help. Paid on time. Pay package not unreasonable.

    Cons

    SCC champions. Most HR reviews you can tell as this is a pro. The only people that get this are sales teams as they are deemed more important than other departments. Terrible holiday allowance. SCC you need to realise that 23 days rising to 25 after 5 years is not an incentive to join. HR are non existent, until it's in their favour. No 1-2-1s or PDR, which are required to drive pay discussions. Staff... retention is scary, never seen so many people leave before even a month is completed. Training beyond the in house stuff is non existent. I even offered to pay for my own training if they could accommodate some days out of the office, but heard nothing back. Management tend to think of people as an after thought, or just another resource. It isn't until it suits them, or they will struggle that training, payrises etc get discussed. Everything is very reactive, from staff management to client engagement. And so much more.

    Try and look after staff and customers. It would go a long way to steadying the ship. Actually invest in good people and sing about it.

    Paid on time, sometimes try to wriggle out of paying bonus/overtime

    Cons

    Not the nice family business they claim to be, senior management/directors don't even acknowledge low level management and employees, let alone talk to them. Zero career progression in most roles. Bare minimum annual leave, pay, pension and only 8 paid sick days. Some good employees, some truely dreadful, HR have no clue how to recruit staff, they are desperate, so give jobs to anyone who applies as the pay... and conditions are well below average in the industry.

    Advice to Management

    Stop concentrating on pretending to be a good company to work for, and actually make the effort to make those dreams come true, everybody in the I.T industry knows "SCC makes I.T worse" at the moment.

    Pros

    Paid on time but nothing more then thats

    Cons

    Horrible toxic senior management layer which promotes bad behaviour and most have very little experience actual IT backgrounds... some of these directors are using techniques they learnt in the army and HR to manage a IT environment. Staff turn over is very high.... people quickly move on when they find something better. Senior management also embrace a huge blame culture and not once have I seen them take... accountabilities for their poor tactical and strategical decision making. There are also some senior management in relationships eg married. With little or no experience of IT. Makes you wonder how they got to the top???

    Advice to Management

    Bring an external consultant to come in and assess your senior management team. Pray to god none of your customer want to do full in depth audit as the statistical lies will be exposed that is being covered up by your senior leasdership team

    Easy to get a job at scc, they are desperate Paid on time

    Cons

    No proper training. scc doesn't care about its staff at all treated like dirt bonuses given to some departments amount to an average wage only if you are a top performer every month of the year 8 days sick pay then straight to ssp (and straight to hr to explain why you had time off) 23 days holiday, 25 only after 5 years service no pay rises appraisals are a waste of time, just copy and paste last... years, no proper targets

    It's sad that you spend so much time and effort pretending scc is such a lovely family business when it just is NOT!! If you manage to fool people into taking a job, they will soon find out the truth and the good staff will leave, this is what has been happening over the last few years creating a really bad lack of skill in the company. WAKE UP!!!

    I worked at SCC full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Paid on time and salary was pretty decent. The new office looks very nice and professional, the workers are generally nice.

    Cons

    The business is far too siloed, the m2 faction is sold to customers as 1 business but nothing could be further from the truth. They operate independently and are a small company, with a small business mindset. Senior managers are not people managers they are just yes men to the hierarchy and very poor yes men at that! Not one inspirational leader. The people leading* the business have no interest in the changing... evolution of managed print services and will ultimately get left behind without expanding beyond tin and pull print. The service team are quite good, they are under pressure to deliver saving for issues that are not their doing. The sales team make all sorts of promises to customers then expect the rest of the business to pick it up, regardless of cost. Any independent thought or suggestions will make you an outcast, that’s not the way we do it is the response to ideas. The project management methodology is laughable, in fact it follows no PMO or accredited ISO, but don’t worry your PM will turn up on site and train you how to use a photocopier. Customer service try their best but quite often they are up against it from management and fixing sales issues, when sale tell customer they’ll have a dedicated CRM they don’t mean that. The business is about 5 years behind the industry but will keep going due to the power of scc until they merge it into one or let someone else buy them up!

    Pros

    Apart from friendly co workers, there are no positives in joining this company. Oh and you get paid on time.

    Cons

    The management teams across all departments don't seem to have any idea how to speak or treat their staff. Bullying attitudes ... My way or the highway is the usual response even though there are easier and more effective ways of doing specific tasks. It's obvious current managers are in positions due to who you know not what you know. Absolutely no chance of progressing with this company unless you are one of the... in crowd. If you don't tow the line either you will be forced out by making your working day unbearable. If your considering working for SCC don't bother there are far better employers.

    Pros

    Always paid on time and the people on the ground doing the work are excellent, but severely undervalued. Coffee in the canteen was cheap

    Cons

    In 2 words, the management. In DCS the most unapproachable bunch of people you ever had the misfortune to meet, unless you were in the clique. There is no respect for their staff. No pay rises in the 3 years I was there. Avoid at all costs

    Advice to Management

    Look after the people who are desperate to get out of your organisation, it'll fall on deaf ears though as management only look up never down
