I worked at Royal Bank of Scotland International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Worked in a few teams in RBS. The people were awesome in every one of them. Work life balance.

    Cons

As a developer, way too much time is spent on admin and red tape. Company always in the news for the wrong things. Low morale. Constantly downsizing and letting a lot of people go. Technology staff not valued as much as those in front office

I worked at Royal Bank of Scotland International for more than 10 years

    Pros

Lots of great colleagues Good work life balance I was able to progress in spite of the organisational barriers to progression

    Cons

Poor leadership focus. Some looking at pie in the sky ideas and others more interested in playing politics to serve their own self interest. While looking to become a more diverse organisation, there are lots of homogenous teams of either strong men, or strong women.
