Just a decent pay but otherwise no issues with anything else

16 Mar 2023 - Store Manager in Toronto, ON

      Business Outlook

      Pros

You will learn a lot specially working in retail as there are so many other tasks you will be involved in, aside from Retail Management. Amazing 3rd party and other employee benefits (that's the best part about the job) great culture for inclusion and diversity. HR will be there to support but nothing in terms of the comp increase they can do. They are just there to listen your mental health issues and other concerns.

      Cons

Recently entire company has been through a huge senior leadership / management changes which has dropped employees moral. Overall, you will get more opportunities to learn but in terms of the compensations its too bad !

Nice campus and shared spaces, but hours suck

22 Feb 2023 - Finance Manager in Toronto, ON
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Nice campus. I like the shared spaces, the variety of food at the cafeteria, having Tim Horton’s in the famous, gym access for very low cost, and an overall clean and updated environment. Had a pension plan.

      Cons

Annual raises maxed at 2 percent which is way less than inflation. You have to pay more for better benefits. They switched from defined benefit to defined contribution pension plan for new hires. You work a lot more than 40 hours a week…expect to feel like you are on call. Bring your laptop on vacation with you as your work follows you…there is no backup for you as the company likes to do layoffs to reduce costs so existing employees are overworked. Cell phone? Yeah you get a cellphone so they can call you at all hours of the night and on weekends..and holidays. In short, no work life balance is the con.

      Cons

Office politics Pay could be better I had a terrible Manager. She had 0 people skills, extremely arrogant, and threw me under the bus many times - quit job because of bad boss, but company is good overall
