I have been working at Revel Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits, fun coworkers, a strong leadership team that looks out for their people and customers first and foremost. Beautiful office spaces with lots of fun events (happy hours, holiday parties, BBQ's, etc.)

    Cons

Slow to make decisions, but methodical in approach.

I worked at Revel Systems full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people there and lively startup culture

    Cons

Major cons all revolved around upper management. The company was much more pleasant to work for when it was run by its original founders. They understood the importance of retaining talent with excellent perks, generous time off, and positive environment -- in contrast to new management which seemed to value the bottom line over employee happiness (which noticeably manifested a higher rate of churn).

I have been working at Revel Systems full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Free lunch is a pro

    Cons

Leadership is absolutely unprofessional, immature and make no sense. If they don’t like you personally you will literally get fired for no reason.

    I worked at Revel Systems

    Pros

Free lunch Cool views Nothing else

    Cons

Sales leadership is horrific. Quota is unobtainable- in my tenure here I only saw one rep hit full quota. Unlimited vacation isn’t a real thing - I get it is sales but with unobtainable quota, even taking a sick day off is frowned upon. No ability to work from home even though they have all the resources. Parking is a mess (be prepared to pay upto $8 a day and it’s not guaranteed). They hire people regularly that just quit straight up because they see what the company actually is. If you leave before 5pm - you get a talking to by the managers (even on Fridays).

I worked at Revel Systems full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Beautiful office -Great product -Funny co-workers -Fun social events

    Cons

-ZERO sales leadership - they lack energy and have no idea what they're doing -They treat salespeople like garbage (drastically reduce comp plans without warning and set quotas that are unattainable considering internal operations, competitive landscape and lack of leadership) -Your job is not secure and everyone is paranoid they'll be fired (through no fault of their own) so it's a very stressful environment.

I worked at Revel Systems full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Big improvements in the leadership team once the original CEO/CTO left. The company finally has a plan on how to succeed. WFH, friendly management team, no micro managing. Things can be a bit crazy when onsite with a customer, but I always felt a sense of accomplishment when a project was completed. On the days I wasn't onsite, things were relaxed and there was time to catch up on outstanding issues. Overall, I really liked my day to day routine and never dreaded "going to work"

    Cons

Took over 2 years to get any sort of raise. In fact, I made more my first year with the company than I did for the following two years once they did away with the project bonuses. After 4+ years, my income was only about 3% higher than when I started. There was also very little room for advancement within the team.

I have been working at Revel Systems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    * Surrounded by motivated, kind people * Fast-paced environment with attention to work/life balance * Autonomy to tackle the work that you're interested in * 99% of negative reviews are from disgruntled former employees who left or were pushed out (rightfully so) during the company's sorely needed restructuring

    Cons

    * Sometimes I find myself eating too many of the free snacks :)
