I worked at Randstad full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic people across the board, fun work culture, lots of networking events and gatherings, above average benefits and profit sharing plans. Middle management is great, and there are some true leaders of people on the front lines. Executive team is personable and down to earth, and actually make effort to show up at every branch. Job wise, you really do feel like you make a difference in candidates' lives.... The role can be highly rewarding on a human level.

    Cons

Compensation is fairly low for the industry and the position, so this leads to high turnover and poaching from competition. The bonus structure isn't lucrative, and can be quite convoluted. Simply put for a sales driven industry, you're not going to get rich. Since people don't stay long, it causes perpetual training and re-training. Also some of the hires are questionable and risky ie. hiring someone without any... sales or recruitment experience and hoping they will pan out. If you're in a unit structure this can seriously affect your take home. There's too many meetings, hookups, conference calls, and market calls. There's only so much time during the day and week to grow business and this doesn't help.

    Advice to Management

    1) Wipe the current bonus structure and create something that will be realistic and attractive to sales professionals. 2) I understand you can't pay everyone 6 figure salaries, but make it more competitive for today's market and economy. 3) Focus all your efforts on reducing turnover - I know you've lost a lot of good people this year and that needs to change. People love the company and culture, but it... comes down to their bottom line. This needs to be driven home at the top.

I have been working at Randstad full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Work life balance, lots of vacation time, for the most part a positive atmosphere

    Cons

Push to be “human forward” yet our customer service and follow up with candidates is spotty. Sales targets are very aggressive, not enough freedom to get to the end result, mixed messages from upper management and line managers, internal politics are a thing feels like you have to be best friends with management outside of work to get anywhere in the company.

    Advice to Management

Disconnect from line managers and upper management on what priorities are

I have been working at Randstad full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexibility in regards to schedule, approachability from direct Managers all the way to the President, great benefits, competitive salaries, dynamic work environments, great training for employees no matter what level and role, management adapt to market change very well and always tries to stay on the forfront and create tolls to ensure their staff is taken care of.

    Cons

Honestly, there is nothing that I can think of.

    Advice to Management

Keep being the great innovative team that you are and things will only get better year after year!

I have been working at Randstad full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

3 weeks vacation (plus summer half days and a balance day) to start with and 4 weeks after 2 years of working! Unheard of. That I think is the biggest perk of working at Randstad. Apart from 1 volunteer day in the year to volunteer anywhere of your choice and get paid for that day. Working for a big, global brand like Randstad makes your job of selling a lot easier because people already know you and what you... are capable of. Lead sharing within the company makes sure everyone shares the pool of success. Great benefits package and bonus program as well. One of the best training programs for beginners that sets you up for success.

    Cons

The screening process to get hired is really intense, to the point that candidates are screened out quite early but at the same time its understandable considering the high turnover not only in the industry but positions involving sales in general.

    Advice to Management

Employees' bonus and compensation should be adjusted when they are working by themselves without a partner, as they have to do the work of two people, while getting paid the same and being held to the same goals as for 2 people.
