    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at RAPP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Efforts for employee engagement and retention: weekly happy hours, employee recognition program

    Cons

There have been 4 rounds of layoffs in 1 year. Many of the SLT are actually freelance, resulting in unsettled team management and consistency. No significant new business win in 1yr+. If you disagree with Leadership, beware!

I have been working at RAPP full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been working at RAPP for 5 months now and I can stay that is a really good place to work. The teams really care about their employees and the client work. They have excellent benefits and it helps that they are a part of Omnicom. I would recommend working here to anyone. The new CEO, Marco, is doing a great job as is Justin the President of the NY office. They are both invested in the people and company. Good job guys!

I have been working at RAPP full-time

    Pros

Rapp actually has a work from home policy. This is always talked about at other companies but here there is something you can actually point to and follow because it's in writing. Work/life balance is good Communication from the top is good and you can tell Marco really cares about his people. You can tell there is a shift happening here, and it feels cool to be a part of it.

    Cons

The work itself is not that shiny or glamorous. You're not going to win amazing awards here. It's not a creative agency, it's a direct marketing agency and email can only be so creative over time. there is some attempt to do more creative work but they would need major investment internally to do something like this the right way. Parental leave is only 5 days. This day in age that seems really out of touch with the rest of the industry.

I have been working at RAPP full-time

    Pros

RAPP allows you to have the opportunity to explore your passions, learn new things, and make an impact. The CEO is invested in ensuring his employees are positioned for growth and balancing work and wellness. There are talented and nice employees across the agency and within various functions that work hard to produce amazing work.

    Cons

RAPP is currently experiencing a period of growth and transformation that at times may be hard to adapt to. Client business isn't entirely stable but that is the nature of the advertising industry and is handled well by our CEO and local leadership.

    Pros

Good work/life balance, nice people (for the most part), casual office, great location

    Cons

Politics, no processes in place, toxic culture at times, some employees do not seem motivated to do their best work

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Work-Life balance is good and fun activities.

    Cons

Glass ceiling if you're not in the club.

    Advice to Management

Look around, and give opportunities to committed employees that's stayed with the company through tough times and not only to people who are favored. I've seen several senior level employees get moved around just to save their job for decades. It's just not fair. Hold these people to the same standards as the rest and distribute the wealth. Leadership should be held ACCOUNTABLE and if the company doesn't perform, then they should be let go FIRST instead of moving them to a newly created role while the employees that actually do the work are let go. Until you set this standard, you will continue to decline.
