I have been working at RAPP full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Work life balance is decent

    Cons

There are certain employees that are protected and kept through good and bad times. The former local managing director and her side-kick have been moved around from new business, to operations to leadership, back to corporate even when the sr leader (she's been kept for 25 years) didn't perform and drive business and retain clients or win new business All this while hundreds of employees have been let go through the years. This company is all about favorites, but the proof is in the numbers. The business has declined significantly because leadership isn't held ACCOUNTABLE for the performance of the company.

I worked at RAPP full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Strong analytics group. Salary, bonus, and benefits were good.

    Cons

Job satisfaction was horrible. It was a very devisive, political, and back-stabbing environment. As such, there is a lot of turnover at all levels.

I have been working at RAPP full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been working at RAPP for 5 months now and I can stay that is a really good place to work. The teams really care about their employees and the client work. They have excellent benefits and it helps that they are a part of Omnicom. I would recommend working here to anyone. The new CEO, Marco, is doing a great job as is Justin the President of the NY office. They are both invested in the people and company. Good job guys!

    Cons

The hours can be long but that is the case at most agencies.

I have been working at RAPP full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible work, WFH and summer time Decent benefits

    Cons

This agency is a carcass of its former self. They somehow get by leveraging their brand name and legacy. Senior and local leadership only care about tending to their bosses and getting their bonuses no matter what. A toxic culture, biased decision-making and visionless leadership in LA, now they have added Dallas to the mix. Most good talent quits after the performance review cycle once they figure they are not getting anything, the rest of the staff is trimmed down like clockwork to hit targets twice a year. A dying agency with no leaders to drive it forward - a good way to pass time between jobs.

I worked at RAPP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Rapp do have an art in employing some great talent and amazing people. My first year at RAPP was great and things seemed to be on the up. The team spirit is there it just sometimes needs a boost. My manager was great and cared about the overall well-being of the team despite being constantly rushed off her feet. Some great clients to work on.

    Cons

Team morale is absolutely battered. Mistakes are focused on whereas good work seems to slip by without acknowledgment. Pay was pretty poor for the work and lots of promotion promises that never materialised probably because of higher management not giving approval. Senior management pretend to be caring when really they aren’t. They make very clear who the favourites are in the business and the rest are just numbers.

I worked at RAPP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The work is interesting and stimulating but the execution is usually fairly poor. There is potential to do good work on pretty interesting clients and a few select people in the San Francisco office are very talented and nice.

    Cons

The managing director in San Francisco lashes out on people and frequently fires people for little or no reason. I've seen several people let go, just because they didn't agree with the MD at all times. The turn around in this office is incredible. The office is a sweat shop and it is expected that you work weekends and long hours all the time. Everything is a fire drill due to the lack of management and planning. It's a very unprofessional environment.

    Pros

finally after five years that I have been here, the company has woken up. Amazing new energy and a great deal of pace

    Cons

it is such a pity that a few real rotten eggs were allowed to join. They have caused havoc and most of us are amazed that they were allowed to stay so long. talking trash about people like our global ceo is incredible.

I worked at RAPP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

RAPP has a fantastic social culture - maybe even a bit too much so. Everyone is drinking together a few times a week and there are tons of social events too like a softball club, football, fancy dress parties... Free drinks on every last Thursday of the month too!

    Cons

The managers on some teams are completely incompetent and they don't care about their staff. Work like balance is mostly non-existent and progression for most people is out of the question.

The people are your support network. You get to work on some big blue chip brands.

    Cons

Too much talking not any doing. Complicated thinkers keeping things slow and dissatisfying.
