Pros

Some really good and knowledgeable people work for Proserv. Benefits package so so...not the worst but also far from the best.

Cons

Proserv have let go almost all of their experienced managers/employees and have promoted within the ranks and replaced them with second/third rate "cheaper" operations managers etc, unfortunately these operations managers etc don't have the knowhow or experience required, thus leading to incredibly and at times unbelievably poor decisions being made.

Pros

Can work with some great employees who hold their core values to the highest standards. This company has the best core values . Guaranteed to challenge you and set high goals. You can easily advance your career if you are a "YES" man. Well, that's about all I can say after waking up to reality. This place truly is the smallest large company with a big corporate outlook.

Cons

I have worked for this company since they purchased us late 2012. Everything mentioned here is facts and very true. The "FRESH" core values this company holds, is the complete opposite to their definitions. They are (F) Forward as a TEAM, (R) Right thing, Right way, (E) Entrepreneurial Spirit, (S) Serious about service, and (H) Help share & communicate openly. This company has forced me to be a dis-honest person and lie to their customers about mark ups and rates. Somehow, proserv thinks that their customers owe them projects and contracts without any effort put forth. This company promotes managers within the company based off of duration served, and assumes they are qualified to perform the duties, by the already unqualified manager. I have seen many skilled craftsman get completely belittled and made out to be nothing more than a piece of trash. Family will always come second to this company. The Human Resource department is allowed to run the business and makes operational decisions. Does not invest in the safety of employees. Does not stand behind their core values at all. Has a "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality. You are guilty even if you prove your innocent. You could easily get fired for "knowledge of theft within the company", even if you are one of many who brings it to the attention of management. You could earn a spot for your name on their "DO NOT HIRE LIST". Have to participate in Smart Goals that are measureable, will make you a better employee, and will force you to make decisions that will turn you into a person with no morals. You will get recruited on the belief that you will have great benefits, then find out you do not. You will be lied to, lied about, belittled, and ruled as untrustworthy. You will have no support on continued education. You will be happy to get on the bonus structure until you realize that they will not pay the smallest 5% to you, even if you meet the 90% of the goals agreed by management.

Pros

Some real genuine hardworking staff members who are the engine of the company. They are contstantly taken for granted and who never get any appreciation for their work.

Cons

1. Toxic internal politics that has and will drive a lot of the experienced staff members out of the company. 2. There seems to be a ‘pack’ within the management level that looks out for each other. If you don’t fit in, you will struggle...everyday. They like to praise each other on YAMMER instead of recognising the people who actually put in the hard yards. 3. Under appreciated staff members who go far beyond their calling, are constantly being mis-treated. 4. Some of the folks in the management level ignore the advice or opinions of the experienced staff memebers and only when projects go wrong, that’s when they realise their mistakes. A lot of egotistical idiots. These kind of people will run the company into the ground. 5. Not a family oriented company at all. 6. HR department cannot be trusted. Issues that are not meant to be for public information, somehow leaks out.
