Pros
Good place to work, flexible time with good team
Cons
You will have to lift new products on weekends , unfortunately that might be lifting them down the stairs to the kitchen , so you must have the strength for that.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Pret A Manger part-time for more than 3 years
Pros
- Generous food and drink allowance - Contracted hours/not zero-hour contract - High standards and clean shops - Interesting customers - Paid for socials/meals - Nice co-workers and enjoyable teamworking - Progressive company image and good quality, tasty food - Even though the shop culture is sometimes bad, I would probably still recommend it over other hospitality chains I've worked for
Cons
- Terrible GM and area management culture - bullying, threatening, yelling, cursing at employees who are literally just trying their best - Expected to come into work unless seriously physically sick (i.e. vomiting) - Managers don't understand mental health which has been apparent from conversations with my co-workers; demotivating to see team members you care about upset about this and not listened to - Staffing issues/high employee turnover in my shop meant that workload was ridiculous leading to current employees frequently cutting corners - After having worked in 2 different shops there were major differences and it became apparent how much higher the workload was in the other store , although I witnessed GMs bullying and threatening staff in both stores

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Pret A Manger full-time
Pros
Used to be a very employee focused company, you’d have a laugh and enjoy your shift. Now it’s turned on it’s head and all they care about is making money.
Cons
Everything has become over complicated and non achievable causing many employees to become depressed and exhausted. They don’t care about anyone’s wellbeing and most managers are absolutely horrible to their teams.

Pros
Good training, positive atmosphere, attracts the right customers, opportunities to go up in the company
Cons
Mystery customer bonus is a lottery ( 2 years and I only got mystery customer once, which I passed, others got it several times) and you can't access bonus if working on drinks or kitchen.
