I have been working at PresenceLearning full-time for more than a year

    Pros

PresenceLearning provides the best products and services in its space--products and services that employees are proud to develop, and that schools and students thrive using. The leadership at PL is deeply committed to employee engagement and growth. Most importantly, everything PL does is in support of its school-based customers, best-in-class clinicians, and end-user students. The company is growing quickly and smartly, with tremendous opportunity ahead. When you join PL, you become part of a mission driven organization that is making a huge difference for students (and employees).

    Cons

Growing pains are quickly getting worked out.

I have been working at PresenceLearning for more than 5 years

    Pros

I have been at PresenceLearning over 7 years as a provider of service as well as a Lead Clinician. In many ways finding PL was a life changing experience for me. I was burnt from paperwork, commuting and huge caseloads. I was beginning to wonder whether changing careers was in my future as I was losing my passion and not feeling great about the quality of services I was providing. Shifting to teletherapy was just what I needed to renew my passion as an SLP! Besides the comfort of working from home and eliminating my commute, reaching kiddos via THE BEST proprietary platform around has renewed my passion for being an SLP and reminded me why I went into this profession in the first place! I was initially concerned I'd feel isolated but in fact, I am surrounded by hundreds of top notch professionals who can provide support and their own clinical wisdom.

    Cons

There have been many changes, some for the better (platform enhancements) and others growing pains( contract mishaps) . At times there's a disconnect between providers needs, HQ policies and a general lack of communication.

I have been working at PresenceLearning for more than a year

    Pros

The company mission to democratize and improve access to therapy and special education services for students and families is inspiring and makes me feel proud to work with PresenceLearning. Their technology, including the assessment and intervention activity library, is amazing and well-founded in evidence-based practices. They provide ample training around their platform, documentation practices, and opportunities to develop professional skills. I feel well supported by my provider success team, lead clinicians, and clinical quality managers. I typically receive a response to concerns, especially case concerns, within 24 hours. The flexible, work-from-home schedule is ideal for me and the needs of my family. After years as a brick-and-mortar school psychologist, it's exciting to be providing student services in a new way!

    Cons

Although there is ample work, there can be inconsistency from month to month as a contracted employee. As with most start-ups, growing pains and frequent changes are expected. This kind of work is ideal for those that can be extremely flexible with changing roles and financial considerations.

I have been working at PresenceLearning full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Smart, fun, hardworking coworkers and colleagues - Supportive and inclusive CEOs / leadership / management - Extremely exciting being part of a fast growing company with a product that is still very new to many schools - Great mission and values - Never a dull moment

    Cons

    - Growing Pains. Be ready for change. Often. Processes change constantly. Often times we are still "figuring out the process" while the process has already been launched.

I have been working at PresenceLearning full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - You will be hard pressed to find a stronger mission than building educational tools for kids that qualify for special ed - People (across the company) join for mission related reasons and are therefore more intrinsically motivated than your average tech company - Company has continued to hire great people - Flexible PTO policy (encouraged and enforced!) - Healthy growth rate in revenue, users, and team size in the last couple years - Values work life balance

    Cons

Company is going through a ton of growing pains. Part of this phase includes a good amount of shuffling of senior management as well as priorities. Certain amount of turbulence is to be expected at any startup that is trying to make it to the next level, sometimes the level of changes makes the team dizzy

I have been working at PresenceLearning full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible, foward-thinking, solutions oriented company. Friendly and compassionate coworkers and leaders Impactful work with sustainability focus

    Cons

Constant changing, if you like static working environment you will not enjoy the constant change and reorganization that comes with working at PresenceLearning (as with any startup) There are some growing pains and leadership changes as the company has reached a tipping point. Company is working to realign focus but has many new leaders with their own vision that can create an "old school" vs "new school" dynamic.

I have been working at PresenceLearning full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Product team is incredible - great people who trust each other. You're trusted (and expected) to get your work done, have it be high quality, but how you do it is up to you. Managers specifically "protect you" from distractions and obstacles, you can work from home 1 day or so as needed. Really great. - Company is very mission driven and upper management solicits feedback and listens. They really put people first. - Company is doing really well - great future here

    Cons

    - Growing pains of any startup - scaling challenges, some bureaucracy creeping in, a bit more financial focused at the moment so I want to make sure we keep the culture I joined for.
