I have been working at Pima Medical Institute full-time

    Pros

Pima has proven to be a stable company during past and present troubling times.

    Cons

Pima has a workforce with a long tenure which has created a culture of complacency and is reflected in their attitude and quality of work. Innovation, growth and evolution of the company is stifled by the lack of desire to challenge the status quo. There is over emphasis on the ESOP which does not make up for the company benefits not meeting or maintaining current job market standards. This is exacerbated by the employee engagement survey being skewed by the Tucson employee base which does not accurately reflect comparison to other locations and markets. An example is the current PTO and Maternity/Paternity leave policy. When compared to similar companies Pima’s PTO outdated accrual process is on the low end. Maternity/Paternity leave is on average ⅓ of most companies offering of 12 weeks.

I worked at Pima Medical Institute full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

clean facility, talk is that all is well

    Cons

Employees don't last long. Watch your back. Make sure the pay is approved before accepting the extra class assignment, -and then be told it could not be approved and thus no pay for it. Lost weeks.

Thank you for submitting a review. We take great pride in our student-centered environment. A quote from a previous PMI CEO, "The only real measuring stick of a school's success is the achievement of its students."

I have been working at Pima Medical Institute full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

PMI is the most student centered educational institution that I've ever had the privilege of working for. They are generous with their employee benefits, including employee stock option plan. This is a very ethical company that I am proud to be affiliated with.

    Cons

There are none that I can identify.
