I worked at PNC Financial Services Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - They check all the boxes for a prospective employee. Good salary, good benefits, strong financials. - Stable C-level leadership with consistent vision for the future.

    Cons

    - Too many meetings. There are meetings to discuss what to talk about at the next meeting. 100 people on a call, 10 people participating. There are people making over six figures who literally do nothing but schedule and emcee meetings. - Modeling activities are crazy over-administered. For every one person performing an analysis or developing an enhancement, there are five people setting up meetings, pestering staff to fill out forms and documents, asking for ETA, and generally not being productive or helpful. Management's approach to difficult projects is to throw more project managers at it. Instead of sourcing experienced staff for project management roles, they hire inexperienced staff and give them unearned authority. - Many staff responsible for challenging and checking work, but this work is not collaborative. Quality control personnel have little knowledge of the data or product and do not strive to learn. - Work is impersonal, no effort is spent on team building. People don't respect each other's time or care to get to know each other.

I worked at PNC Financial Services Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits from the start but that’s the one and only good thing

    Cons

Excessive sales pressure, lack of coverage, low pay for what is expected of you, usually work 6 day weeks, poor work/life balance, expect lots of cold calling, they says that they don’t push product-they provide solutions, but it is definitely defined and product pushing as far as their expectations. Expect things to never be fair, management loves playing favorites no matter how much you bust your bottom for the company/they will never recognize it unless you sell out and product push non-stop
