Pros

Almost NOTHING good to say about this chemical company. It was convenient for my commute but they don't tolerate any need for flexibility. Coffee was free but you are stalked and monitored during your break.

Cons

I wish I had read his in the news before joining: "An explosion tore through the walls and roof of a potentially hazardous chemical building Tuesday afternoon, burning one employee and scattering debris across neighborhood rooftops". I worked at this company for a while. I wasn't told the company was being put up for sale, or about its previous multiple accidents, or the FDA warnings, or complaints about its dangerous working conditions, complaints or concerns get mocked or put down. Co-workers told me that I will be fired regularly, management pressurize you all the time. It seemed dangerous working on the plant. People told me that the company has a long history of attacking employees in the courts - what company does this? They pay really bad.

Pros

Pros??? Nothing. No Pros.

Cons

High employee turnover due to poor treatment by upper management. Analytical lab chemists are the unhappiest employees and they leave as soon as they can. Most of the employees hate working this place. CEO has no idea what is going on in the company. My co-workers were nice but as I said top management behavior makes you get out of this place as soon as possible.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you felt unhappy in your position at PCI. As far as employees leaving, I can tell you that most employees stay at PCI for many years prior to moving on to enhance their careers utilizing their experience and learning that was gained at PCI. I am truly sorry that you did not feel respected as we treat all of our employees with the utmost respect and appreciation. All PCI employees are encouraged to utilize our open door policy for any reason. It is my wish that you would have used that option. A point will be made by all Managers moving forward to ensure that this is displayed more prominently. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Ed Price

Pros

Free coffee to get you going in the morning and keep you going when you have to stay late at night.!

Cons

Corporate values are prominently posted on the wall and conspicuously missing in action. GMP issues all over, mgmt trying to cut corners without getting caught by the FDA. Revolving door for employees. CFO overbearing and micro managing - recognizes every mistake, gives no credit for above and beyond positive results.
