I have been working at Oracle full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Able to buy holidays up to 10 days - Health insurance - Friendly Co-workers

    Cons

    - Uses career advancement as a selling point but it is non existent, at least in this office - No salary increases, you stay on the same salary until you get a promotion or have a new job offer outside the company (see first point) - New staff start on higher salary than current staff who will be training the new employee's from day 1.

    Advice to Management

I believe that management should work on providing a fair salary expectations and career advancement for staff as there is little or none provided currently. No employee should be expected to have a job offer from outside the company in order to get a pay increase.

    Pros

Flexibility and diversity of culture of the employees. Great to meet different customer every day. Great opportunities for learning.

    Cons

No year on year salary increase in line with inflation. You have to leave after a few years as no salary increase with inflation. New starters getting paid far more than existing employees.

    Advice to Management

You have to leave after a few years as no salary increase inline with inflation.

I worked at Oracle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Career span as they are always hiring, job security, good products

    Cons

Territories are unworkable, impossible to get a salary increase once you are in. Performance is capped even when recruiters say it is not. No marketing so there is no leads, Cold calling is the only way to get a lead but you dont get even the customer names. Too much change too fast with no enough change management to understand the impacts. Most reps are unsuccessful and if you dont close a new deal in one quarter they put you in a performance improvement plan and you could be fired. They will get it right... in a few years

    Advice to Management

there is something called change management but I guess you only use it if you care what actually happens to your employees when you have a massive transformation. Oracle is not interested in it. I guess thats the answer
