I have been working at Oliver James Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ambitious, motivated and forward thinking. Great team of people who are driven and collaborative. Bucks the 'traditional' agency trend of just cold-calling through lists, very relationship focused

    Cons

Plenty of hard work, but that is recruitment!

    Advice to Management

    N/a

I have been working at Oliver James Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Oliver James has been one of the most welcoming companies I have joined, allowing autonomy and a great culture in and outside of the office. The business invests heavily into its people with the technology used, events and internal development teams. We have free drink Fridays (or Thursdays), gym lunches, lunch clubs, a football team and probably the best Christmas and Summer parties I have been to (definitely check out the videos!). Highly recommended!

    Cons

I understand there used to be quite structured hours, but this has now changed to mirror competitors which has really improved the culture.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

I have been working at Oliver James Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Successful hardworking company, top of their game in financial services. I;ve received really good training from the learning and development team and also my line manager who is constantly looking to develop me. We work hard but the targets are realistic and have a real purpose to contributing towards billing. I enjoy the environment, everyone is really friendly and positive. We maintain a very professional approach to recruitment which is very different to my previous company.

    Cons

The only drawback has previously been long hours. However the group have recently introduced more flexibility across board so consultants can leave at 6pm.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that junior consultants have accountability like the senior consultants.
