    Hard to move up, long hours with no overtime pay because everyone is salaried, difficulty and openness depends on the manager you are working for

    Coffee is decent and Farmer’s Fridge is only lunch option

    No onboarding or training as to their company processes; they will throw you into the job and expect you to figure out their inconsistent practices on your own. Absolutely no reliability in terms of what they say versus what they do. They will promise you training they won’t ever provide and will be annoyed when you ask questions. They will look for negatives and will not acknowledge positives. Inconsistent... treatment of employees- some can do whatever they want, barely show up for work; others are supposed to work longer hours. Horrible computers and technology - old slow working network and computers that break often. IT and HR are non-existent and do not help at all. Office management is very unfriendly and snobby. They often do events without contracts in place, then struggle to get a contract signed after an event is over. Bad business practices that lack of any standard operating procedures or sense of urgency. Always a hot mess “urgent” matter because someone on the team “slacked” off (or got fired), and really poor internal communications between stakeholders. They work in silos. Management barely shows up to work. They pay below market rates, because they see employees as replaceable. They do not value experience. A lot of millennials who have never worked anywhere else, and have very poor social skills. They would rather write emails and instant messages than talk in person or on the phone, creating a lot of endless drawn out questions that could be answered much more quickly if anyone used their phone or got out from behind their computer. They make you use your own cell phone and internet to work, and don’t reimburse you. Cheap! They won’t pay you on time, and won’t get your benefits enrolled on time because they are a bunch of disorganized slackers. And they dress like they are going to clean the house - beyond casual. Sloppy. Really unreliable, untrustworthy management. Sad, because the entry level employees (who do not get paid enough to rent a 1 bedroom apartment in Chicago FYI) are good people, who quickly realize Mosaic is nothing but a stepping stone to a better paying job. There is high turnover at this company for many reasons. Look elsewhere, as you will not have a long term career with Mosaic.

    Advice to Management

    Manage your expectations by communicating face to face with employees, planning ahead, respecting others’ schedules and creating standard operating procedures. Pay employees higher, more competitive wages, and maybe you would not have such high employee turnover. Follow the law and reimburse employees for using their own cell phone for work, pay employees on time (not 4 days after pay day) and enroll employees in... benefits on time. Regulate the temperature in that horrible smelly old building. Get real office phones OR pay employees entire cell phone bill since you’re too cheap to provide basic communication tools to all employees.
