I worked at Manulife full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Work from home opportunities Great co-workers Ability to take longer vacations (use up all days at once)

    Cons

Constant executive churn - new teams/functions are constantly being created, disbanded, and merged. It's impossible to keep track of who is responsible for what anymore. Promotions are extremely hard to get - they would rather hire a director from outside than promote a manager from within. Tons of communication from all levels of management, except when people are let go. Then there's not a word.
