Run and don't look back

Pros

There are some really smart folks. If you're on the right teams there's learning opportunities. Flexible work hours. Budget for training and certifications.

Cons

There are some serious, serious issues stemming from higher ups: regional partner/partners. I want fellow job hunters to know what they're getting into. I'll list some issues but my advice for job hunters is to look somewhere else and don't look back. - Serious employee engagement, turnover, and hiring issues and no competent HR department. Employees are being tasked with taking on HR's job for some reason. - No transparency around really important company issues like pay, hiring, strategy - Change is non-existent; the government goes way faster - Lack of evaluation for people in leadership positions who aren't qualified - The conversation about pay is just weird and there's no consistency. When employees talk about it together we seem to be paid totally different things for the same job. - A scary lack of foresight with company decisions

Pros

free food nothing else there

Cons

My time at MNP started with high hopes and excitement, fueled by the promises of career advancement and growth opportunities. Unfortunately, my experience with the company quickly turned into a nightmare of broken assurances and unfair treatment. Despite exceeding expectations in my role and consistently delivering results, the promised promotion never materialized. MNP disregard for their employees' well-being and professional development is deeply concerning. Their practice of luring individuals with false promises of advancement reflects a toxic corporate culture rooted in deception and exploitation. In conclusion, my time has been marred by disappointment and frustration. I urge others to steer clear of this company and seek opportunities elsewhere, where their talents and contributions will be genuinely valued and respected.

Questionable Management

Pros

-Banked overtime hours -Partners are more hands-on compared to the big 4 -Strong marketing team that appears to be effective in hiring large volumes of staff (of varying quality)

Cons

-Low compensation, far below market. Hiring partner will put in their best effort to low-ball you. -Inconspicuous discrimination: Despite touting itself as a firm that celebrates diversity, there are clear discriminative practices in many of the hiring or promotion decisions that are not based on one's experience or merit. -Work/client needs comes before life: This is largely partner-dependent. Again, despite touting itself as a firm that respects work-life balance, you will often be requires to make significant sacrifices of your personal life in order to meet client needs. For example, if you are behind on an audit because of a client's inefficiencies, the partner would not stick up for you to push the deadline. Even if you are the most diligent auditor, you will face the brunt of the client's shortcomings and sacrifice your personal life to make ends meet for the client. Some partners simply have no respect for the well-being of their staff. -Poor softwares, systems, processes: Having previously worked at a Big 4 firm, I can say with confidence that MNP's softwares, systems and processes are far inferior to the Big 4. This creates undue inefficiencies for the staff while partners continue to push for higher margins. -Poor management overall: Especially when compared to the Big 4, MNP's managemnt is inept and disorganized. Very poor staffing/scheduling, lack of training for new staff, unsupportive HR group.
