    "Not a bad company"

    4.0
Former Employee - Account Associate in New York, NY

I worked at MKTG full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people are easily the best part of the company. Generally, everyone is always willing to help each other out by answering questions. Working in experiential marketing is something exciting and will take you to events/places that you never thought that you could attend.

    Cons

The hours and weekend work is going to be plentiful, but it is worth it. Overall, it is very tough to be promoted since they are a not a lot of roles and the company often brings in people from the outside company instead of promoting from within. HR has hard time understanding responsibilities and it is extremely challenging to change departments due to people being typecasted.

    I worked at MKTG full-time

    Pros

Female leader through change management and rebrand was awesome. Beat out the previous boys club culture, won lots of new clients, awards and great team diversity.

    Cons

Pushed the female leader out, appointed an inexperienced male leader who knew nothing about the business model, all the good people started leaving or got pushed and the agency became a joke.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at MKTG full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

2 Stars for: - Most of co-workers are friendly - Free lunch/drink sometime - Long term great clients

    Cons

    - Entitled and there are none of the diversity in leaderships - A lot of personal involved from leaderships and it gets in the negative way of working process - Discrimination within the office and leadership pretend like nothing - Toxic and gossip environment come from leadership - Culture fit for some individual group of people

    I worked at MKTG full-time

    Pros

    There was an espresso machine.

    Cons

At my job prior to this one, my boss treated us so poorly and abusively, and that she was fired. MKTG made that experience feel like a cakewalk. At least the first company took action when they had crappy management. That's all I'll say.

I have been working at MKTG part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours, pay (in my market) was $35-45 an hour. Lots of opportunities to network during events. You get to work with awesome brands like Smirnoff and Crown.

    Cons

I worked in a market that didn't have a ton of events per month, so I used this on top of my other job. When I worked in other cities they'd have 50+ every week, so their team could do it full time
