      Pros

      40% online lego discount 25% in-store lego discount 20 Free tickets to Merlin attractions Perks at work discounts are great Flexible around educational commitments The central planning team (people who do rotas) are very quick with replies when you have a query

      Very long hours on some shifts 8:45 to 21:00 Finish times are an estimate so could be there 2-3 hours later than advertised Very little progression chances unless you are in a department such as food and beverage Sometimes verbally abused by guests even though their issue has nothing to do with your department.

      Fun working with and interacting with the kids

      Cons

      Ushers can be treated as if they are at the bottom of the chain by other members of staff in the department The department is very cliquey, individually they're lovely but as a group they make it difficult to enter You don't receive training on the real problems you will face, especially in peak season, like queue-managing or handling guests with disabilities

      Flexible hours Fun and sociable Pretty decent pay 20x free tickets to Merlin Attractions (plus discounted stays at Resort hotels)

      Cons

      Poor management system. Issues on the frontline would be passed on but lost through the hierachy and therefore remained unresolved. Dealing with VERY angry guests on a number of occassions and no action was taken against them. Again, poor management.

      Pros

      Made a ton of great friends The management is generally friendly and understanding (a lot of turnover os it really depends) Flexible scheduling

      Cons

      Management is not good at conflict resolution between guests and workers, was frequently yelled at and called names by the guests because of restrictive rules and little was done to protect us from this Over the two years I worked there, my supervisors switched frequently, making it difficult to maintain good relationships and be seen for your accomplishments

      great entry level cool work atmosphere low pressure

      Cons

      demanding guests (not good if you lose it too easily, not recommending inexperienced teens for positions like that) stressful environment could use more incentives

      You can easily get hired w/o experience Flexible Schedule

      Cons

      Management makes confusing rules for guests then doesn't follow them when necessary causing employees to be looked down upon as a whole by guests Problem customers given too many perks Gets rid of holiday pay and replaces it with "free pizza"
