I have been working at L.E.K. Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    The people within your team

    Cons

There is zero respect or appreciation for any of the "core services" team. The management makes insane demands of critical teams complaining when things do not get resolved quickly enough- even if the issue is with an external vendor. Management has openly said on calls that they "only care about the managing directors- they bring in the money". They will "promote" you during a pandemic because your role is crucial- but they will then refuse to give you the raise associated with your new responsibilities. Training is almost as non-existent as the diversity of the firm. Upon asking what the firm is doing in response to the Black Lives Matter movement- they've mentioned creating a "diversity task force" that has held one meeting and has accomplished nothing. If you're looking for a firm run by spiteful white men, this is the place for you. Be prepared to be screamed at in person and over the phone if you don't read the MD's mind and be ready to address the most asinine of requests with a smile.

I have been working at L.E.K. Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the people here are really cool, and you get to work on some interesting problems.

    Cons

Toxic managers and leadership. I've had a managers scream at me and personally attack me, my intelligence and upbringing over formatting errors. The culture is definitely promotes an "end justifies the means" and "at all costs" attitude, and this means that extremely toxic and abusive managers get promoted. This firm has a reputation for causing mental trauma to its workforce, and frankly, its true.
