15 Jul 2021 - Sales Assistant in Dublin, DublinRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The perks within the job are amazing, 50% off full priced items; 20% off sale items; 2 free pairs of work shoes per season... list goes on Team are mostly people aged from 18-30, so people tend to have a lot in common Managers are friendly and easy to talk to Incentives to work hard are good Hard work is rewarded
Cons
The only con about working here is actually the customers, compared to other companies I have worked for and the 3 years of sales experience I have, the expectations and demands customers have are quite high, I would not recommend working here unless you have a strong backbone as many are entitled and can be upsetting to deal with.

Free shoes as uniform and thats about it.
Cons
Management and leadership environment was horrible, unrealistic and I mean UNREALISTIC targets and goals in a department store that was failing but they expected our concession to succeed...... Salary does not reflect work and extra added duties asked of you.

Pros
Very little, close to none. There are nicer retail jobs where you are more respected.
Cons
Crazy manager. Unrealistic goals. Excessive expectations + excessive mystery shoppers. Poor quality product and poor treatment of shoppers. We were told to try and talk them out of returns. We were told to mislead customers when orders went missing on our end.

Pros
Good hours/lunch breaks Great place to get experience working in a fast paced environment, not too much pressure to sell
Cons
Micromanaging created a stress on employees Staff that have been working for the company for several years make it very hard on newer staff, they bully colleagues over commission and start fights which can be stressful.
