I worked at Kaiser Permanente full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great mission. Great benefits including pension programs.

    Cons

Promotions and market salary easier to achieve if you leave and come back. Company doing better on this with market adjustments at least for current positions. Promotions are harder due to a lot less movement of personnel than many other companies.

I have been working at Kaiser Permanente part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits, CEU reimbursement, annual reviews

    Cons

Still has limited knowledge of what OT truly is and the value we have for a wide variety of patients, though it's improving in some areas. Very PT driven.

I have been working at Kaiser Permanente full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great mission, great benefits, some excellent people driven to change/better healthcare delivery. Lots of opportunity to learn and move into different roles. You feel good about the work you do.

    Cons

Long hours that can make pay not competitive, can affect quality of life trying to deliver results in short timelines and sometimes without the support/engagement needed, often understaffed and vacancies take forever and lots of hoops to fill.
