Pros

- Nice office space with stocked kitchen - Friendly co-workers - Lots of growth/hiring (company recently won a large federal contract that will add more than 50 people)

Cons

- Management is very disorganized and are constantly making promises that they can't keep - Little to no personal/career development - Lots of growing pains (no HR dept, no recruiting dept, no on-boarding/off-boarding, etc.)

Pros

Kitchen is stocked. Cool Crystal City location if you like to be close to the city.

Cons

Everything about this company is a sham including the owners and the joke management they put in place. You feel like you are in a nightmare with all the gossip and unprofessionalism. There is no room for career growth unless someone likes you because it's definitely not about competency.

Toxic, Growing Too Quickly, Disengaged Employees, High Turnover

Pros

1. The best benefits I've received or seen at any company in a long time, especially if you get the premium plan. 2. Depending on the team you get put on, there is a high level of flexibility with your work schedule (within reason). 3. Depending on the team you get put on, the office is very relaxed and has a great culture. (Client site is the exact opposite.) 4. Salary is great for new hires, because the job market is highly competitive right now. 5. Established employees get huge amounts of time off (based on years of service with ITG). 6. They will train you/help you get certifications. You will also have to sign a waiver for this to ensure you will either pay them back or stay 1+ years.

Cons

1. The recruiters will be shady to you to get you to take positions, or say "they don't know what team you'll get put on" so they have no idea what kind of environment you will end up with. They do not take into account things you say are requirements for you, like if you were told when you accepted the position that you would get partial WFH they may not consider that when placing you on a team and just expect you to adjust. They have moved several people I know (on different teams) to different positions over 2 hour commute away (each way) without their express interest or consent. 2. Project Managers juggle way too many projects and have almost no time to spend working with you on project tasks or career goals. If they don't see your value, or dislike you, you will not progress in your career. They will also pigeonhole you, so good luck getting a promotion if you're not a golden child. It doesn't matter if your actual team members think you're fantastic and love you, if the PM doesn't like you. 3. You're only considered "engaged" in your job if you participate in company events - working consistent 10-12 hour days? Have kids who need care after work? Doesn't matter because you didn't go to that happy hour last week. 4. I have mentioned this but depending on the team you get placed on your experience at ITG will be completely different. There are several projects at ITG that are extremely toxic and the PMs know - and yet do nothing... because they're overworked. Of course, these are the ones they are hiring for because the turnover rate is high for those projects. 5. Cliquey in the worst way. Good luck breaking into a friend group, and expect there to be rampant gossip. Favorites are heavily preferred. The "in" crowd hangs out heavily outside of work, so negative thoughts can persevere even when you change teams (so no clean starts within the company). 6. Under resourced. I can not express this enough. You can't get help even if you express a need for it and they know you need it/agree you need it. You are also treated like a number because of this. Forget your career goals, forget your actual strengths, you'll be shuffled among teams just to fill spaces. 7. I mentioned the toxic work environment already, but your health will suffer. I know at least 5 employees who have had major medical issues in the last year because of the sheer amount of stress they function under. This is probably heavily related to the team you end up on, but if you accept a job here just know this. 8. HR protects the company, not the employees. Don't ever expect them to rule in your favor. 9. COMMUNICATION IS THE WORST. No one communicates, or they do not know how to communicate effectively. And once you finally get some level of communication going... someone key or a lot of people on your team will be replaced. 10. Bus-chuck culture. There is no shared team goals or team attitude. Can you be buschucked? You will absolutely be. CYA culture is high because of this.
