I have been working at Imageworks full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

-extremely well-established pipeline -fantastic support for production personnel in terms of tools, mentorship and guidance, infrastructure, technology etc -plenty of long-term projects -a lot of opportunity for advancement in production -brand new facilities in probably one of the best locations downtown

    Cons

-depending on the project, hours can be long (on average 10 - 12 hour days, saturdays, maybe even sundays depending on the department and overall show trajectory) -generally linear pipeline means you don't run into a lot of particular issues that might help you grow or learn more -can be difficult to meet friends or people in general with company culture -pay for production isn't amazing and/or transparent, especially in one of the most expensive economies in the world.

    Pros

-Lots of diverse projects -A great place to build your portfolio/reel -Offered opportunities to work on good shots and prove yourself -Pay better compared to other vfx/feature studios in the area

I worked at Imageworks full-time for less than a year

    Pros

At least on my experience most things were pretty nailed down in terms of the pipeline which is very robust. You get everything you need to work and most things work smoothly and if not you have a lot of support.

    Cons

It{s a little bit cold because you really can be focused on your work all day and not really need anyone so you gotta go put the extra effort to make friends with other artists around you.

    Pros

The management of the project was amazing and smooth. The pipeline is versatile and strong.

    Cons

Crunch time can happen but it's paid overtime. The could be more transparent of renewing your contract at the end of a project.
