Pros

Very stable company, chances to work on very interesting technology and contributing to some amazing games out there. Always learning and surrounded by very smart people (depending on the location). Human resources really value employee efforts and they recognize the value they bring to the company, making efforts to meet employees needs. Very good work/life balance and basically no crunching. Management takes good decisions for the company's future in a very unstable market that is hard to predict.

Cons

Communication could be better but in a company that is so widespread over the world and with not that many people the problems are understandable. Lack of resources sometimes means that engineers have to undertake boring but mandatory tasks like QA. Sometimes it can be really, really hard to move from what you are doing in the company (because you're needed there) to what you'd really like to do in the company (reason why you accepted the job).

Pros

The havok physics product is historically respected and the technical challenges you get to work on are potentially very interesting. Very smart people at the core and the safety of being owned by Intel means that occasional bumps in the road do not result in heads being chopped off very quarter.

Cons

Very tight cultural center that makes it hard (impossible?) to fit in based on contributions alone. Many core employees have never worked anywhere else and so do not have broader work experience to help guide their actions. Historical management has potentially polarized the working culture to be less than open and trusting - but this may be changing. Ownership by Intel may leave management less focused on industry leadership vs. sustainability. Down turn in AAA games industry may challenge growth prospects without fundamental shifts in thinking and strategy
