I worked at Grant Thornton for more than a year

    Pros

Brilliant atmosphere and community within the company. Work was always aimed at challenging you in the right way.

    Cons

Lots of politics involved in working here. The HR department turnover quite often, more often than typical businesses so trying to keep a relationship with HR is difficult.

    Advice to Management

Standardize what standards you require. It does look bad on the company when some people work hard and get great results, but others make a muck of it all and waltz through pay-rise after pay-rise.

I worked at Grant Thornton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

small team atmosphere and laid back environment overall. Responsibility given and managers approachable when needs be. A fair amount of young people and social aspects

    Cons

The company is run very old fashioned. All middle aged men in suits who think they're above others. Not much encouragement for individualism.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to different types of people. Respect that lower members of staff aren't as experienced as you are and don't put so much on their shoulders
