      Frustrating and inconsistent

      Pros

      Employee's that are non-family related (with a few exceptions) are great to work with and are very knowledgeable in their areas.

      Cons

      Giles Engineering is a family run company and the family can give very mixed signals, if they give any feedback at all. They do not communicate very well with one another or the employee's. They would rather send an email than have a converstaion. Every policy that is made favor's their own interest's and leaves nothing to their employee's who they work into the ground.

      Pros

      Some of the co-workers have good reputations in their field. Technical equipment is above average for this geographic area.

      Cons

      Employee contract - have an attorney review before signing! Micro management, no culture, no community give-back, very sue happy - look them up to see for yourself. This is the smallest firm I know of that has a full time attorney on staff, or maybe even two. Management is not trustworthy, and there is no team mentality. Very profit center orientated.

      Appalling lack of trust for the employees

      Great clients; decent travel opportunities; solid (technical) reputation

      Cons

      Turnover, particularly of managers is the highest of any firm I've seen (anywhere). If your last name isnt Giles, you are kept on a short leash and are not to be trusted. Work rules are scarey for a professional services firm
