Pros

The people that work here are great. Kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The content can be quite interesting if you are a fan of records, work with audio or just a music appreciator.

Cons

1. The job is extremely repetitive and quickly becomes exhausting and uninspiring. Employees should have multiple responsibilities and tasks throughout their 8 hour shift. 2. $15/hour is extremely low for the quality and quantity of work expected of employees. This is especially true considering George only hires individuals with college degrees. Although repetitive, the required tasks rely on skills that are simply not possessed by the average person without a background in audio. However, the employees are paid as if this is a an expendable fast food position. 3. The opportunity of gaining a raise or advancement within the company is almost non existent. It is simply a dead end job, especially for anyone trying to pursue a career in audio or the music industry. 4. George. It became very apparent that he is the reason behind all of this. Unreasonably high quota expectations (especially for $15). Treats his employees horribly. Supervisors along with other high responsibility positions (warehouse manager) are paid the same $15 as the employees they watch over. There is 0 positive feedback given. Regular threats of firing. Employees are expected to work through their lunches to meet quotas. I don’t have to go on. Read the other reviews.

Pros

Just skip to the next part.

Cons

I could put up with the pathetic wages if it wasn’t for the owner George Blood. He goes beyond just running his company into the ground financially, which he does anyway, or being a bad manager, which he is because he has no clue about human beings. He is straight up abusive. He screams. He makes nasty remarks. I honestly wonder if he is an alcoholic or on drugs, there is no other explanation for how unpredictable and cruel he is. I don't know WTF happened to him as a child but unless he gets therapy or medication or rehab there is no reason to go anywhere near this job. He is so paranoid you're wasting company time that every day he makes you fill out a timesheet that says what you're doing every ten minutes. Then at the end of the day everyone emails Their report to him, and he reads them, and then he writes emails to the entire staff pointing out who's not doing a good job and making nasty remarks at them. That is the first email you'll see in your inbox every day. You can get fired any minute of the day or any day of the weeK. literally, some people have shown up to work at 8 am on a Tuesday and are told to get out. Somebody quits or is fired about every 14 days. Nothing gets done because they're always training new people who don't stay longer than three months. Promotions only happen if you're the only person left in your department. They will tell you in the interview that "everyone who wrote a negative review on Glassdoor was a bad worker who deserved to be fired." that's a lie. They will bring you in at a pathetic salary and promise "in three months we'll do a performance review and you could be paid as much as 10,000 more". Ask anyone who's been here for more than three months (if you can find one) and they'll tell you that's a lie too. The company is running out of money and he thinks it's the employee's fault and he keeps on overloading us with work and blaming us when everyone is working as hard as can. They tell you that George yells, screams, berates, and insults because he's just "a passionate guy and this company is his baby." No, he's abusive, and no one stops him because they're terrified of him. I actually think that if someone really stood up to him, he might hit them. I've started working out again because I'm afraid I might need to defend myself against him someday when , not if but when, he assaults me. IT IS A STRAIGHT UP HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT. So in short, the owner is vengeful, rage-filled, paranoid, arrogant, egotistical, vicious, insecure, pompous, entitled, self-absorbed, possibly mentally ill/alcoholic, I hope he's not violent, and basically just evil. EVERYONE on Glassdoor is telling the truth. No matter how much this looks like work you'd like to do, or how bad your current job is, Don't submit a resume. Don't go on an interview "just to judge for myself". DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE. DO NOT WORK HERE.

Pros

The material you get to work with can be pretty cool, the benefits are nice

Cons

George does not know how to manage people. He puts unrealistic exepectations on everyone and then flips out when those goals aren’t met. He wouldn’t put his hands on someone like someone said in another review, but he definitely has a bad temper which I’ve witnessed a few times. He also doesn’t like to promote from within, instead hiring outside managers who know nothing about our field of work and end up leaving within a couple weeks (We’ve had a Project Manager and our HR manager quit this week alone) so don’t expect to move up in this place unless you switch departments. We’re also grossly underpaid for the kind of work we do, as well as some of the conditions we have to endure sometimes (dangerous mold on materials and fumes from construction work through the building just to name a couple examples.) I promise you that while some of the work sounds enticing, it isn’t worth dealing with George and the rest of management who for the most part do nothing to try and communicate with employees.
