I worked at GEICO full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good in this company. If you are fresh out of high school and looking to make some decent money taking phone calls about insurance claims this is not a bad position. You will be paid good money, you will get great benefits, and you will even be able to move up in the company if you take the position seriously. Also, depending on how much education you obtain while at the company, that would determine how far/high you can go.

    Cons

Worklife Balance. If you are not single or if you are a woman with more than two young children, this job will be hard on you. The hours are not meant to be appealing to people with families, but for the corporate heads who don't mind being at the office all day, every day. Now, if you come into the company with a degree, you can be able to get a TCR1 schedule 8:00 - 4:30 PM and leave on time, everyday Monday - Friday, but if you don't then you will not have work-life balance.

    I worked at GEICO full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits, good entry level pay, fast promotion/raise and good paid training.

    Cons

-Promised to have a curriculumn under the Management Development Program, which was not fulfilled as promise. In the last year our region went through 3 coordinators. - Poor covid response, led to increased workload with little understanding from management about the difficulty of performing field work from home. The job description changed drastically and instead of leniency, management doubled down and began micromanaging adjusters via obscure metrics. -Bad work life balance, often every day ends with stress. Either you work late to get everything done or put it off until you forget about it..

I have been working at GEICO full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

They do a good job with training and getting you ready for the job. Most of the coworkers are insightful and are willing to help. Benefits are good

    Cons

Unless you are in their MDP program, it is very difficult to get into management. Work-life balance is very difficult at the start and will have to self-discipline to not get burnt out.
