More Pros and Cons
  1. "Fun environment"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Sales Associate

I worked at Free People part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Started working at Free People for the discount. It ended up being a great work environment. Management takes daily operations and rules very seriously, which allows things to flow smoothly.

    Cons

Pay is just about at minimum wage. If you are part time, Discount definitely makes up for it.

I worked at Free People full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discount is great, lovely co workers, fun work environment, decent hours and pay only if your full time (have to give you the hours if FT)

    Cons

No growth even when promised or discussed, upper management does not help you get to positions you are reaching for, competitive environment when it comes to promotions and moving positions around, very hard to make a work-life balance

    Advice to Management

Look out for and take care of your employees! There are a lot of great people out there with great potential, give everyone a try not just your “favorites”

    Pros

    Good discount and friendly coworkers

    Cons

Get strung along by upper management, once you hit a certain level there is no focus on growth and development, end up working more than 50 hours a week, company doesn’t care about work life balance

I have been working at Free People part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone is so sweet, and if you’re willing to work hard you will go far! Discount is incredible and the experiences and friendships I’ve made so far are the best and I can’t wait to see where this company takes me!!

    Cons

The only true downside is Of course that it’s retail but I love being able to style customers and make someone’s day a little better! If you’re great with customer service and interaction then it won’t ever feel like a job!
