I worked at Euroclear Bank full-time

    Pros

    - good parties and nice people. Big party every 3 months in best Krakow clubs, but I guess this is over now, as this was a demo on the beginning of their business in Krakow :) - opportunity to see Brussells, but I guess this is over now as well :) - no overtime - good for people who prefer to party than work - the job is so easy, you don't have to be fully conscious to do it :)

    Cons

    - very poor management, mostly from Belgium. - ridiculous understanding of Leand and Continuous Improvement which makes it grotesque instead of helpful tool - 0 career prospects - best jobs are taken by Belgians anyway :) - treating people like idiots - micromanagement on every level - horrible place - poor salary in comparison to competition (some times 2x the difference)

    Advice to Management

    - use your brains more, procedure will not solve your every problems, you are not robots...

I have been working at Euroclear Bank full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good benefits, generally nice people, great for building knowledge as lots of training courses provided including chartered institute to get further qualifications which are always sought after elsewhere in industry. CREST knowledge is always valuable on the CV. Great work/life balance, good end of year Christmas party. Making strides to improve diversity but still a long way to go. Some heads of department are amazing whilst others seem to favour nepotism and playing office politics.

    Cons

Low pay in comparison to industry, minimal clear comms from senior management, generally speaking staff who raise issues or concerns about work environment will be ignored then earn a reputation of being a problem- even though you’re asked to raise issues or concerns. Not overly encouraging of developing a career within the company and don’t consider what the individuals want but instead consider the business needs. If you’re a real career go getter this isn’t the place for you, if you’re looking for a great work/life balance with fair pay and no pressure then this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

The environment in which the company operates is changing, more is being expected of staff yet this is reflected in the opportunities nor the remuneration. Encourage those rising stars and reward them.
