Everyone is really helpful and it is easy to make connections within and outside your department

Majority of project leaders are knowledgeable, eager to teach, and good at what they do. Very friendly, laidback, comfortable workplace environment. Senior engineers are very capable at leading projects. Excellent place to begin your career as an intern/co-op as they are given lots of meaningful, high-impact work.

Cons

Very hard to develop career here past internships. Full-time entry-level engineers are entirely non-existent and exist only on contract-based positions. Project cancellations are all too common, leaving you stranded and impossible to establish yourself if you are a fresh employee that is trying to establish herself as a SME. Constantly feels like starting over since new project leaders aren't acquainted with your capabilities and assign you very mundane and non-challenging work as a result. More than one female intern reported feeling uncomfortable in environment created by certain employees. Entirely ignored by middle management. Contractor pay even less than intern pay, considering interns alone get housing assistance. Finish your internship here and then move elsewhere.
