You're absolutely right, maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial. While we strive for a standard 5-day workweek, we know certain projects or deadlines might necessitate extra effort. However, we're committed to addressing any issues related to excessive overtime and ensuring workload distribution is fair.
It's true that as a growing startup, we hustle hard to make our mark. We try to be clear about this effort and expectation during interviews. Perhaps there's room for us to improve communication on this front, so we'll definitely revisit that.
Compensation and Feedback:
KPI is a monthly process which you've been part of and regular discussions about these happens between employees and managers. We're continuosly working on improving communication channels to ensure all voices are heard. We're always reviewing our performance evaluation processes to make sure they're fair and reflect employee contributions.
Technology and Skill Development:
On the day you wrote your review, we were actively upgrading technologies – one is already complete today and the other ongoing. Upgrading legacy code can be challenging, but we're continuously investing in refreshing our tech stack and providing opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
Job Security and Communication:
We understand job security is a major concern, and we're committed to fostering a stable and supportive work environment. Termination decisions are always a last resort and are only made after careful consideration. We prioritize supporting departing employees during the transition by providing them with time to find a new job.
Micromanagement and Transparency:
We understand your concerns about micromanagement and time-tracking software. While these tools are helpful for maintaining discipline and transparency, they shouldn't feel intrusive. We're always looking for ways to refine our management approach and foster trust within teams.
