    Pros

    Awesome people to work with, friendly, kind and generous. Technology is pushed with a good balance of conservativeness and progress. Features and projects development follow a good process with a fast but manageable pace; everyone is invited to contribute and take ownership. Knowledge sharing is becoming a pillar of the Tech department. No competition exists among people. Join efforts are always preferred and, as in every healthy group, discussion (even if heated) of ideas is encouraged and facilitated in order to get to the most effective and efficient solution. The CTO and the Engineering Managers are awesome people to work with, great soft and managerial skills. The company tends to stay on average salary levels. You can earn what you deserve, based on the market but you'd have to push or force to make your (extra) contributions being considered on a compensation level. The business is interesting, despite being a regular e-commerce. Some departments are pushing for more data-driven decisions – ideas, feedback and contribution from each and every employee is very welcomed and encouraged.

    Cons

    Career advancement has not always clear steps. Promotions are tied more to how you work with your manager than on a general set of criteria, that although present are then applied with much discretion. Product management has had a weak leadership, especially on innovation and creative ideas. The way the department is led makes it that there is very little room for frictions between people to happen: every one has its role and job and it's entrusted with doing the best. But, although it happened very rarely, at times when managers have shown improper and unprofessional behaviour, bordering the offensive, no official actions have been taken.
