Pros
Executive Management is truly interested in its employees work experience and personal growth, and its parent company, Taylor Corporation, is a steady hand and source of continual investment when many companies in our industry are having a harder time with that. It makes for a successful combination. Although the company's focus is largely its legacy business of print & mail services, it is changing to more challenging and rewarding areas (for me at least) of information system analysis, data management and electronic delivery systems including mobile. My particular interest is system analysis and data management, and where our industry is headed with data-driven communication solutions is a big plus for me. That newer focus has also meant an influx of talent with deeper data and technology backgrounds.
Cons
The transformation from a legacy print & mail company to one that is more data and technology driven can be a challenging one for a company that can trace its print lineage back almost fifty years, and this company has those challenges at times. However, while such challenges are inescapable, they also provide an opportunity to champion what you believe in and assume leadership roles you might not otherwise take.
