Pros

The philosophy and overall goal of the organization is very unique. The willingness to be apart of an organization that serves the underserved community with no bias is exceptional. In the beginning I was very happy however with rapid growth and onboarding of new leaders the culture significantly changed.

Cons

C-suite level leadership can provide a toxic atmosphere with lack of growth if you are not willing to deplete yourself. If you are a minority it can be very hard to move up without pulling others down or even sabotaging your beliefs or integrity. The system of power is broken as if you go above your immediate superior, you may be walking in to termination in the near future.

Pros

Remote environment with top of line ATS system for talent.

Cons

The company lacked organization and consistency when it came to staffing and workforce planning. Leadership decisions often appeared reactive rather than strategic, creating uncertainty for employees and impacting overall morale. My experience reinforced the reality that career advancement within some organizations is not always based solely on performance, skills, or measurable results. Internal politics and relationships can play a significant role in determining opportunities and outcomes. For individuals seeking stability, structure, professional development, and a clear path for growth, this organization may not be the best fit. Advancement opportunities often seemed dependent on personal relationships with senior leadership rather than merit alone. Additionally, the company relied heavily on automated candidate-scoring systems throughout the hiring process. While technology can improve efficiency, it often appeared to prioritize algorithmic rankings over a more comprehensive understanding of a candidate’s skill (if you are stuck wondering why you were passed up on regardless of qualifications). Lastly, i can guarantee they still have not figured out the correct bonus structure that was advertised.
