Pros
-Flexible with who they hire
Cons
-No company Vehicles, will need to put ~400 - 1000 miles on your own each month. -No company computers, will need to use own. -Horrible work life balance, will be called/emailed at all hours on all days and expected to be on call. -Typically given less than 24 hours - 48 hours to begin project, sometimes without proper information. -Does not provide proper lab or field equipment. Will have to improvise on a regular basis. -Will cut pay shortly after hiring. Will find reason to deny pay raises, usual by finding excuses to write employees up, management will ignore any appeal or objection to this. -High turnover, walkouts commonplace. -Managers will not listen to complaints or concerns, will blow you off or "are too busy to listen" -Managers keep a copy of your signature, so keep a file of what you actually sign. -Do not expect a reference, management will state that you are either too lazy or makes too many mistakes, regardless of performance. If you quit, management has been caught lying that employee has been fired for above, even when they left due to a 50% pay cut to join another company. -Management promises a lot, but will pull the bait and switch to not deliver.
