Pros

The aspect of working at an Entertainment company in DC is a plus.

Cons

This company will stress you out. You can mention 1000 times (verbally or in writing) that you're burnt out and they won't do anything about it. If you come in as a temp, they take forever to promote you. That should've been a red flag for me when I realized that they weren't going to promote me to a mid-level position after years in my position as a Coordinator. Management would dangle a promotion in my face but never moved to make it happen. Additionally, I've had MULTIPLE turn overs in the department but its not uncommon as most departments see a rotation. If you decide to move forward with this company please keep in mind you will be working for 2 networks (TV One and CLEO TV) and your workload will be doubled - HENCE WHY EMPLOYEES ARE BURNT OUT. Programs rarely ever deliver in enough time for the premiere dates so you're always in a rat race to rush and prepare. Finally, I would say to be careful to who you connect with as there are a lot of rude women in the company with no home training or manners. The wolf in sheeps clothing term is very true here . There is a handful of kind and geniune people but of course the company makes no inclusive effort to introduce you or help you get accustomed to who you'll be working with. You're thrown into the fire as soon as you start. I have given this company my loyalty to stay and help build it but they don't care. This experience has been traumatic and I'm mad at myself that I got comfortable in this dysfunctional and toxic enviornment. Good luck to anybody who accepts a position here and best wishes to the employees that still are with the network.
