Pros
Decent opportunities to learn Good work-life balance (strongly dependent on line management) Reasonably competitive starting salary
Cons
Incredibly poor growth for salary, especially with team members that need it most. Results in staff leaving and more money being spent on recruitment and contractors to fill the gap that could have been rectified easily. Only when someone's out the door do they give them a counter-offer. Insulting. Wants to act like it's a huge enterprise but can't get the basics right. Completely misplaced priorities when it comes to technical implementation and is more interested in rolling out tech and buying new products than ensuring what we have works. Direct reports suffer due to HR policy surrounding performance reviews and bonuses. They don't want to give the bonus or the salary increase based on performance, so decrease the performance ratings to save money. Despicable way to treat people when they're already underappreciated.
