Pros
Good office premises, IT equipment, parking, canteen and food, decent colleagues.
Cons
1. They are trying to direct a huge ship with a major hole in its hull. 2. Employees in Europe have average tenure of 20 yrs. They are resistant to change, upskilling, learning new technologies. 3. These folks are now at mid-tiers and feel immunity. Hence Resort to politics, racial discrimination, ridiculing, bullying and demotivating young generation high aspiring performers. 4. These senior folks in Europe can't be fired as they are protected by labour unions. It's nothing but an old age home with dissatisfied, grumpy, non performing granddads/grandmoms. 5. Most of them have passed their primes and simply hogging their seats to enjoy their retirement benefits. 6. However this has resulted in zero innovation, reasearch capabilities. The top mgmt thinks they can simply buy firms for their patents and throw them after use. This will not work long term. Eventually they will run out of their capital. 7. Higher management is not driven and lacks vision. They hire folks on top, who can't do anything due to these old rotten apples. 8. Major manufacturing facilities are being sold and they are outsourcing to third parties who to make profits compromise on quality. 9. Invest in talent that perform. Train, appraise and value exceptional employees. Value diversity, not just preach. Take strict action against racial discrimination complaints. Stop manipulating to maintain stock prices. 10. The good old Sanofi is now a sinking ship. Soon it will be at the bottom of the sea.
