Pros
I came to Realization Center with little experience and they took a chance, teaching me basically from the ground up. The door was always open to me - owners, clinical supervisors, social workers, doctors and mental health counselors were always willing to share their expertise and guide me. That having been said, I was given the freedom to facilitate groups with my own topics. I was basically taught procedure, laws governing substance abuse treatment centers, effective note-writing and technology to be ab le to be most efficient. The company was organized, systems put into place and updated when necessary. I learned to work with a diverse population, who were made to feel as welcome as I was. I have seen owners help clients who were having difficulty staying sober, getting to know them on a personal level. No client was just "a number". At RC, I have observed and experienced management's sincere interest in their employees, offering support and guidance. I felt seen, heard and appreciated. Owners are generous with praise and criticism is always constructive and helpful. Training is always toward the goal of helping clients recover from addiction, and I have seen many miracles, much recovery as a result.
Cons
Not really a downside, but as with any successful company, it is fast-paced.
