Pros

Great content to work with - and very creative colleagues and clients.

Cons

Was purchased by a publicly-held conglomerate who is not interested employee development or job satisfaction. They have commoditized the brand and do no recognize what made Pantone a beloved international brand.

Pantone Response

We are very interested in employee development and job satisfaction, we are pretty much obsessed with this and use the results of our annual engagement survey to drive improvements every day. We absolutely recognize the beloved brand and continually find new ways to help our customers use Pantone in their businesses. I encourage candidates to ask about these areas if you interview with us.

Pros

Strong brand legacy and globally recognized products Some talented, knowledgeable colleagues Opportunity to work with creative professionals and great brands

Cons

Following the acquisition of Pantone by Danaher Corporation (and its transition to Veralto Corporation), the culture and direction of the company changed significantly. Pantone has historically been a creative, design-driven organization, and many felt that the new corporate structure did not fully align with that identity. There was a noticeable shift toward financial performance metrics, sometimes at the expense of employee morale and product quality. Several leadership roles were filled by individuals without prior experience in the industry, and some mid-level managers were assigned to oversee functions they had not previously worked in. This created challenges in decision making and team support. Additionally, long-tenured employees were laid off with no notice, which contributed to concerns about job security and loyalty within the organization.
