Great industry, with fantastic potential for growth. If they listen to the advice that they say they seek, they could make a real difference. This company seems to try to employ quality people. Sadly, Senior Management lacks the required objectivity to do this properly. Some really capable individuals with excellent industry knowledge work here. This company works with patients' medical records. They do not adhere to any data security standards and operate in a potentially dangerously unethical manner. They claim to develop using Agile methodologies but the only evidence I saw of this was ad hoc 'stand ups' that would happen infrequently with no more than 5 minutes notice. The culture here is toxic. I have never felt so uncomfortable in an office in my entire working life. There is almost no talking whatsoever - the office is absolutely silent, to a point where it feels oppressive. Despite claiming to offer a flexible working policy, anyone taking advantage of it is made to feel like they are shirking their responsibilities. If you work fewer than 45 hours per week, you are deemed to not be doing enough. It is expected that travel to & from client sites will be done in employee's own time & it is difficult to take any time back. The concept of give & take is as foreign to Senior Management as the concept of a healthy work/life balance & there is a constant air of suspicion.
