It's common knowledge to take glassdoor reviews with a pinch of salt. However, this review is one of many and also being writ on behalf of my ex-colleagues. I stress you think very carefully before joining MVF and take this feedback seriously.
The company's middle management is run by teenagers who have no idea what they're doing. Managers are promoted by hitting there KPI's, not by their skills to be a manager. The same managers are supposed to support you throughout a very intense probationary period, in which only 50% of people pass. You are essentially doomed from the start.
You recieve very little feedback from managers and communication seems to be one-sided. That being; you ask for feedback and managers blindly ignore your request. Or meetings you're lucky enough to arrange, usually consist of 'you're doing this wrong, better sort it out before probation' - a complete lack of constructive support.
The company tends to hire young salespeople with little work experience & pays them a below average management salary. You are told the commission structure contributes a large part of the salary, however many BDM's have been there over 6 months and have still not received any commission.
The company has a cult-like environment, full of cliques and social groups - it feels very much like high school, a lot of gossiping and child-like antics. If you are not brown-nosing your management + peers, it is very unlikely you will pass probation. MVF can be a very lonely place if you do not fit their culture. From the start of probation, it is drilled into you that you will not pass. The company destroys your ego and makes you feel incredibly incompetent.
