Pros
A decent company to work for, especially if you have an interest in the space industry. High technical expertise and diversity within the companies engineering departments. 40h week with paid OT encourages work-life balance.
Cons
Despite union representation, pay is moderately below par for many engineering disciplines in southern Ontario (i.e. Software, Systems, Controls). I found better career opportunities and compensation by leaving, Processes are slow and dated. Middle management is overloaded. Since leaving the company, MDA has dragged its feet with paying out my commuted pension.
